However, it's not all down to new games here. Income from mobile gaming also decreased, though thanks to "royalty income" increases, that sector remained level at 13.1 billion yen.
Overall software sales declined by 10.2% when compared to this time last year, while hardware sales dropped by 21.7%, with Nintendo acknowledging Animal Crossing: New Horizons as a "major driver" of that. It's not all good news for Nintendo though. New Pokémon Snap, Mario Golf, Miitopia All Surpassed One Million Sales
